11"X14" Oil on canvas

This is another one from the St. Catharines series, again a couple of years old. Anyone local will remember this landmark on Geneva Street, it was such a vibrant shade of emerald green. Unfortunately, last year they covered it in brown vinyl siding.

I was never quite sure that this one was finished, but here it is anyway.

  2. Sarah, I wrote to Catherine Jeffrey with the dilemma I have been having with style. I want to try everything, abstract, florals, landscape, pallet painting, hence I feel I'm all over the place! I'm glad others relate, I am frustrated, I have no signature style!!! Like your work, guess we should just keep painting and see what evolves!!

  3. I love these landmark paintings. Of course, I am partial to architecture and city scenes! Its interesting that so many of us want to find a personal style. I guess its normal. Does it only happen with years of consistent painting? What is the secret? I feel as if I have at least found a track that I want to pursue..looser, less fussy, urban scenes mostly. But like you, will I tire of it and move on to something else? I hope you checked out Mary Annes work. Great pastels and oils.
