Through the Trees
7"X5" Oil on board
I always use a pretty limited palette but today I decided to experiment with one that is even more limited than usual. Some book that I read a while ago (I would give credit if I could remember who or what) recommended a low key palette of raw sienna, burnt sienna and paynes grey for autumn scenes. This with titanium white and a touch of terre verte is what I used today. I bought the paynes grey ages ago on sale and rarely, if ever use it. Here it is used as a substitute for blue and it works quite well for a very Novembery scene.
