8"X10" Oil on canvas

This is where I work, the Willowbank School of Restoration Arts. The house was built in 1834 by John Latshaw, for Alexander Hamilton. Constructed of local sandstone, it sits on a 13 acre estate, overlooking the Niagara River, at the base of the escarpent in Queenston Ontario. This (the west) side of the house was originally the back. It became the front entrance when the property was bought by the Bright family in the 1930s.
So far our winter has been relatively mild, this is what it looked like at this time last year.

Fall Short Hills

10"X 20"oil on canvas

I love this time of year, I wish I could bottle it and take a swig in January.

7"X5" Acrylic on board

Maddie doesn't like having her photograph taken. She doesn't even like it when I take out my sketchbook. I have many pictures of the back of her head and her retreating bum.
This is the first time I have ever tried to paint her, she looks a little worried.

Willowbank, Spring

2.5"X3.5" Gauche on paper.

I haven't been painting for the past few months, so I decided to start small, very small. This is Willowbank, School of Restoration Arts and National Historic Site. I have been working here since November.
